Bhagavad Gita · Daivasura Sampad Vibhaga Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 16.23 meaning
yah shastravidhim utsrijya vartate kamakaratah
One who ignores the guidance of the scriptures and acts on whim gains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the highest goal.
What it means
Doing whatever we feel like in the moment rarely leads to real happiness. Tested wisdom, passed down over generations, offers a map. Following our moods alone often leaves us lost. How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Quitting your job on a Monday-morning mood? Talk to an elder or mentor first, and sleep on it for a week.
- With money: Buying random stocks on Telegram tips? Follow tried rules, like an emergency fund and diversified saving, instead of your mood that day.
Spoken by Krishna.
