Bhagavad Gita 16.11 meaning
chintam aparimeyam cha pralayantam upashritah
kamopabhogaparama etavad iti nishchitah
Weighed down by endless worries that last until death, treating enjoyment of desires as the highest goal, they are convinced that this is all there is.
What it means
A life built only around pleasure is strangely full of worry. Chasing more never ends, so the anxiety never ends either. Believing there is nothing beyond enjoyment keeps us trapped in that loop. How it helps in real life
- With money: Chasing the next luxury watch or trip leaves you anxious, not happy. Pause big spends for a month and notice how you feel.
- Health & body: Weekend after weekend of parties leaves you anxious on Mondays. Try one quiet weekend with sleep, home food and a long walk.
Spoken by Krishna.
