Rising beyond these three qualities that give rise to the body, the soul is freed from birth, death, old age and sorrow, and tastes immortality.
What it means
Fear of aging, loss and death loosens when you touch the part of you beyond all changing moods. Freedom is not escaping life, but discovering what in you was never caught. How it helps in real life
- When you are worried: Your 60th birthday has you anxious about ageing and death. Spend a quiet morning in prayer and remember the part of you that never ages.
- In grief: After losing your mother, sorrow feels endless. Sit by her photo each evening with a diya and talk to her; the bond is not gone.
Spoken by Krishna.
