Bhagavad Gita 13.21 meaning
karyakaranakartritve hetuh prakritir uchyate
purushah sukhaduhkhanam bhoktritve hetur uchyate
Nature is said to be the cause behind body, senses and action. The soul is said to be the cause of experiencing pleasure and pain.
What it means
Actions happen through the body and mind, but the feeling of joy or hurt belongs to the one who identifies with them. Noticing this split helps you watch your reactions instead of being swept away.
Spoken by Krishna.
