Bhagavad Gita 13.12 meaning

adhyatmajnananityatvam tattvajnan-arthadarshanam etaj jnanam iti proktam ajnanam yad atonyatha

Staying constant in knowing the Self, and keeping sight of the purpose of true knowledge. This is called knowledge; whatever is opposite to it is ignorance.

What it means
Krishna ends his list with a striking definition: knowledge is a way of living, not a pile of facts. If what you know doesn't make you kinder, steadier and more aware, it isn't real wisdom yet.

Spoken by Krishna.
