Bhagavad Gita 10.29 meaning
anantash chasmi naganam varuno yadasam aham
pitrinam aryama chasmi yamah sanyamatam aham
Among the Nagas I am Ananta; among water beings I am Varuna. Among ancestors I am Aryaman, and among those who keep order I am Yama.
What it means
Yama stands for fair discipline and accountability. Honouring those who came before us and keeping fair rules are both ways of respecting the order that holds life together. How it helps in real life
- With family: On Shraddh or your grandmother's death anniversary, cook her favourite dish and tell your kids one story about her.
- As a parent: Your kids keep breaking the screen-time rule. Enforce it calmly and fairly every time, without shouting and without exceptions for yourself.
