Arjuna, I am the Self living in the heart of every being. I am the beginning, the middle, and the end of all beings.
What it means
The divine is not only out there; it lives in every heart, including yours and the person you dislike. This changes how we treat ourselves and others. How it helps in real life
- When you are angry: A rude cab driver shouted at you. Before snapping back, remember the same divine sits in him too; stay polite and step out.
- With family: Your mother-in-law criticises your cooking again. Take a breath, see her as someone with her own worries, and respond gently.
