Bhagavad Gita 1.19 meaning
sa ghosho dhartarashtranam hridayani vyadarayat
nabhash cha prithiveem ch-aiva tumulo vyanunadayan
That tremendous sound, echoing through the sky and the earth, tore through the hearts of Dhritarashtra's sons.
What it means
The same sound that gave the Pandavas courage struck fear into the Kauravas. What we hear outside affects us according to what is inside. A troubled conscience makes every noise feel like a threat.
Spoken by Sanjaya.
