Ashtavakra Gita 11.3 meaning
apadah sampadah kale daivad ev-eti nishchayee
triptah svasthendriyo nityam na vanchati na shochati
Sure that bad times and good times both arrive in their season by fate, a person stays content, with steady senses, neither craving nor grieving.
What it means
Ups and downs come in seasons, often beyond your control. Seeing this does not make you passive; it makes you less shaken. You stop chasing the good and mourning the bad so intensely.
Spoken by Ashtavakra.
