ॐ jay shiv onkara, svamee jay shiv onkara
ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा, स्वामी जय शिव ओंकारा।
Glory to Shiva, the embodiment of Om; glory to you, my Lord.

brahma, vishnu, sadashiv, arddhangee dhara
ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, सदाशिव, अर्द्धांगी धारा॥
You are Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiva, and you hold Parvati as half of yourself.

ekanan chaturanan panchanan raje
एकानन चतुरानन पंचानन राजे।
You shine with one face, with four faces, and with five faces.

hansasan garudasan vrishavahan saje
हंसासन गरुड़ासन वृषवाहन साजे॥
You are seated on a swan, on Garuda, and on the bull Nandi.

do bhuj char chaturbhuj dasabhuj ati sohe
दो भुज चार चतुर्भुज दसभुज अति सोहे।
With two arms, four arms and ten arms, you look truly magnificent.

trigun roop nirakhate tribhuvan jan mohe
त्रिगुण रूप निरखते त्रिभुवन जन मोहे॥
Seeing your form of the three qualities, people of all three worlds are enchanted.

akshamala vanamala mundamala dharee
अक्षमाला वनमाला मुण्डमाला धारी।
You wear a rudraksha rosary, a garland of forest flowers, and a garland of skulls.

chandan mrigamad sohe, bhale shashidharee
चंदन मृगमद सोहे, भाले शशिधारी॥
Sandalwood paste and musk adorn you, and the moon rests on your forehead.

shvetambar peetambar baghambar ange
श्वेताम्बर पीताम्बर बाघम्बर अंगे।
Your body is clothed in white, in yellow silk, and in tiger skin.

sanakadik garudadik bhootadik sange
सनकादिक गरुड़ादिक भूतादिक संगे॥
Sanaka and the sages, Garuda and others, and the spirits all stay beside you.

kar ke madhya kamandalu chakra trishooladharee
कर के मध्य कमण्डलु चक्र त्रिशूलधारी।
In your hands you hold a water pot, a discus and a trident.

sukhakaree dukhaharee jagapalan karee
सुखकारी दुखहारी जगपालन कारी॥
You bring joy, remove sorrow, and sustain the whole world.

brahma vishnu sadashiv janat aviveka
ब्रह्मा विष्णु सदाशिव जानत अविवेका।
Only the unwise think of Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiva as separate.

pranavakshar men shobhit ye teenon eka
प्रणवाक्षर में शोभित ये तीनों एका॥
In the sacred syllable Om, all three shine forth as one.

lakshmee va savitree parvatee sanga
लक्ष्मी व सावित्री पार्वती संगा।
Lakshmi, Savitri and Parvati are with them as their consorts.

parvatee arddhangee, shivalaharee ganga
पार्वती अर्द्धांगी, शिवलहरी गंगा॥
Parvati is half of Shiva's body, and the Ganga flows as his wave.

parvat sohain parvatee, shankar kailasa
पर्वत सोहैं पार्वती, शंकर कैलासा।
Parvati graces the mountains, and Shankar dwells on Mount Kailash.

bhang dhatoor ka bhojan, bhasmee men vasa
भांग धतूर का भोजन, भस्मी में वासा॥
Bhang and datura are his food, and he lives covered in sacred ash.

jata men gang bahat hai, gal mundan mala
जटा में गंग बहत है, गल मुण्डन माला।
The Ganga flows through his matted hair, and a garland of skulls hangs at his neck.

shesh nag lipatavat, odhat mrigachala
शेष नाग लिपटावत, ओढ़त मृगछाला॥
The serpent Shesha coils around him, and he wraps himself in deerskin.

kashee men viraje vishvanath, nandee brahmacharee
काशी में विराजे विश्वनाथ, नंदी ब्रह्मचारी।
In Kashi he reigns as Vishwanath, with the celibate Nandi beside him.

nit uth darshan pavat, mahima ati bharee
नित उठ दर्शन पावत, महिमा अति भारी॥
Devotees rise each day to see him; his glory is truly immense.

trigunasvamee jee kee aratee, jo koee nar gave
त्रिगुणस्वामी जी की आरती, जो कोई नर गावे।
Whoever sings this aarti of the Lord of the three qualities,

kahat shivanand svamee, manavanchit phal pave
कहत शिवानंद स्वामी, मनवांछित फल पावे॥
says Swami Shivanand, receives the fruit their heart desires.
