jay ambe gauree, maiya jay shyama gauree
जय अम्बे गौरी, मैया जय श्यामा गौरी।
Glory to Mother Ambe, the fair one; glory to Mother Shyama Gauri.

tumako nishadin dhyavat, hari brahma shivaree
तुमको निशदिन ध्यावत, हरि ब्रह्मा शिवरी॥
Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva meditate on you day and night.

mang sindoor virajat, teeko mrigamad ko
मांग सिंदूर विराजत, टीको मृगमद को।
Vermilion shines in the parting of your hair, with a tilak of musk on your brow.

ujjval se dou naina, chandravadan neeko
उज्ज्वल से दोउ नैना, चंद्रवदन नीको॥
Your two eyes are bright, and your moon-like face is beautiful.

kanak saman kalevar, raktambar rajai
कनक समान कलेवर, रक्ताम्बर राजै।
Your body glows like gold, and you are dressed in red.

raktapushpa gal mala, kanthan par sajai
रक्तपुष्प गल माला, कंठन पर साजै॥
A garland of red flowers adorns your neck.

kehari vahan rajat, khadga khappar dharee
केहरि वाहन राजत, खड्ग खप्पर धारी।
You ride upon a lion, holding a sword and a skull bowl.

sura-nara-munijan sevat, tinake dukhaharee
सुर-नर-मुनिजन सेवत, तिनके दुखहारी॥
Gods, humans and sages serve you, and you remove their sorrows.

kanan kundal shobhit, nasagre motee
कानन कुण्डल शोभित, नासाग्रे मोती।
Earrings adorn your ears, and a pearl shines at the tip of your nose.

kotik chandra divakar, sam rajat jyotee
कोटिक चंद्र दिवाकर, सम राजत ज्योती॥
Your radiance shines like millions of moons and suns.

shumbha-nishumbh bidare, mahishasur ghatee
शुंभ-निशुंभ बिदारे, महिषासुर घाती।
You tore apart Shumbha and Nishumbha and slew the demon Mahishasura.

dhoomra vilochan naina, nishadin madamatee
धूम्र विलोचन नैना, निशदिन मदमाती॥
Your eyes, which destroyed Dhumralochana, glow with divine intoxication day and night.

chanda-munda sanhare, shonit beej hare
चण्ड-मुण्ड संहारे, शोणित बीज हरे।
You destroyed Chanda and Munda and killed the demon Raktabija.

madhu-kaitabh dou mare, sur bhayaheen kare
मधु-कैटभ दोउ मारे, सुर भयहीन करे॥
You slew both Madhu and Kaitabha and freed the gods from fear.

brahmanee, rudranee, tum kamala ranee
ब्रह्माणी, रुद्राणी, तुम कमला रानी।
You are Brahmani and Rudrani, and you are Queen Kamala, Lakshmi herself.

agam nigam bakhanee, tum shiv pataranee
आगम निगम बखानी, तुम शिव पटरानी॥
The scriptures sing your praise; you are the chief queen of Shiva.

chaunsath yoginee mangal gavat, nritya karat bhairon
चौंसठ योगिनी मंगल गावत, नृत्य करत भैरों।
The sixty-four yoginis sing auspicious songs, and Bhairav dances for you.

bajat tal mridanga, aru bajat damaroo
बाजत ताल मृदंगा, अरु बाजत डमरू॥
Cymbals and drums play, and the damaru drum sounds as well.

tum hee jag kee mata, tum hee ho bharata
तुम ही जग की माता, तुम ही हो भरता।
You alone are the mother of the world, and you alone sustain it.

bhaktan kee dukh harata, sukh sampati karata
भक्तन की दुख हरता, सुख संपति करता॥
You remove the sorrows of devotees and bring them happiness and wealth.

bhuja char ati shobhit, var mudra dharee
भुजा चार अति शोभित, वर मुद्रा धारी।
Your four arms look splendid, one raised in the gesture of blessing.

manavanchit phal pavat, sevat nar naree
मनवांछित फल पावत, सेवत नर नारी॥
Men and women who serve you receive the fruits their hearts desire.

kanchan thal virajat, agar kapoor batee
कंचन थाल विराजत, अगर कपूर बाती।
A golden plate is set with incense, camphor and lamp wicks.

shreemalaketu men rajat, koti ratan jyotee
श्रीमालकेतु में राजत, कोटि रतन ज्योती॥
In the holy shrine your light shines like millions of jewels.

shree ambejee kee aratee, jo koee nar gave
श्री अम्बेजी की आरती, जो कोई नर गावे।

kahat shivanand svamee, sukha-sampati pave
